On May 15th, the chapter member outings on Pewaukee Lake were resurrected. The first of five outings was very enjoyable. Fourteen Milwaukee Chapter of Muskies Inc members and one member from the Headwaters Chapter registered for the outing. The weather was cooperative (except for the east wind), but unfortunately the muskies were not. Only one fish was caught during the outing hours of 4:30PM to 9:00PM. Dave Dawson caught a 32 1/2 inch muskie to win the event.
Afterwards, the gathering at Smokey’s West gave all of us the opportunity to meet some of our fellow members for the first time and enjoy some food and drinks together. If you thought the food was good, wait until the next outing on June 19th! Everyone attending the gathering received a door prize, thanks mainly to Pat Kilps/Quest Technologies. John Laimon was most gracious to provide us with the location to host the gathering and the opportunity to shop for more “weapons” after hours. These outings would not be feasible without his continued support for our club, and we really appreciate that.
We are hoping for more participation in the upcoming outings. So Come On – let’s get out and go fishing, eat, drink, and enjoy spending some time in the company of your fellow club members. See you then!
Mark your calendars for the next outing on Thursday June 19th.
